Smart Actuator | CORE

nrmk_reducer.png

Neuromeka’s smart actuator CORE is a joint drive module that integrates a frameless motor, harmonic drive reducer, magnetic brake, multi-turn absolute encoder, EtherCAT device board, and motor driver into a hollow-shaft structure. Because the actuator’s power cables and EtherCAT communication lines pass through the hollow shaft, it allows clean and streamlined robot designs without external clutter.

Neuromeka mass-produces four smart actuator models (CORE100, CORE200, CORE500, and CORE1000) corresponding to output levels of 100 W, 200 W, 500 W, and 1130 W. The CORE Series is the same actuator family used in the Indy collaborative robot lineup. With support for 8 kHz torque-control command input, users can implement their own servo algorithms at the application level.

Since the CORE Series is supplied without a dedicated housing, it is easy to incorporate into robot designs that require a custom exterior or unique mechanical structure.
