The First Welding-Specialized Collaborative Robot Built on Real Field Expertise

OPTi Series

OPTi is Neuromeka’s newly developed collaborative robot, designed as a 5 kg-payload model that concentrates extensive welding field experience into a welding-specialized cobot.

 

It incorporates Neuromeka’s core collaborative robot software technologies, including the sensorless collision-detection algorithm, impedance control, and direct teaching. Unlike standard 6-axis robots, OPTi uses a redesigned joint configuration that allows more precise vertical motion at the end of the robot arm, making vertical welding work significantly easier than with conventional cobots.

 

A redesigned link structure also maintains the existing reach while achieving weight reduction.

 

Thanks to this lighter design, OPTi is not only optimized for welding tasks but also capable of automation across a wider range of fields such as food technology and factory automation. It represents Neuromeka’s new collaborative robot platform for versatile automation applications.
